Keep Your Honda Running Like New

Watch for: engine overheating, coolant loss, a rough-running engine (misfire), or a check-engine light. This is a manufacturer warranty extension — separate from a safety recall — and it doesn't apply automatically to every vehicle in the model years above. A few things can keep a vehicle from qualifying:

• Title status — a vehicle with a salvage, junk, or rebuilt/non-repairable title is not eligible for this coverage.
• Mileage — where a mileage limit applies (like the Accord's 150,000-mile cutoff), coverage ends once the vehicle passes that mileage, regardless of age.
• Original sale date — some coverage windows (like the Accord's 10-year term) are measured from the vehicle's original in-service/purchase date, not its model year.
• Registration status — your vehicle's registration and ownership history is reviewed as part of confirming eligibility.
